The index is a free float-adjusted market cap index that tracks the mid-cap segment of the US market that is composed of 400 constituent companies ranked 501-900 by market cap in the S&P 1500 Composite, with additional filter to emphasise stocks that exhibit strong quality characteristics relative to their peers within the corresponding GICS sector based on 3 specific financial measurements that are high return-on-equity, low leverage, and low earnings variability. The ETF has ~80 holdings similar to the index.
