At Das Family Office, we recognise that technology trends are a key driver of venture capital performance, yet they remain inherently difficult to predict. From the Internet and mobile, to cloud computing and today’s AI developments, technology evolves rapidly, creating both opportunities and challenges for investors.
Through our collaboration with VenCap, we focus on partnering with high-quality VC managers who consistently support the most capable entrepreneurs. This approach provides our clients with early exposure to emerging technologies while maintaining diversification and resilience across their venture portfolios.

In this webinar, we will discuss:
- The role of technology trends in VC: why they matter and why predicting them is challenging
- AI as the defining shift of our era: comparable to the Industrial Revolution, transforming knowledge work, software, and service delivery
- The opportunity in AI-native firms: targeting 10–100x larger markets than traditional SaaS by delivering full-service solutions rather than software alone
- The macroeconomic impact: as AI automates cognitive work, trillions of dollars in value are being unlocked across law, finance, healthcare, and customer service
- Venture capital as access: early-stage AI leaders are primarily in private markets, where growth and value creation are most concentrated
- Portfolio construction considerations: balancing illiquidity and valuation risks while avoiding underexposure to the next generation of dominant firms
- Illustrative examples: selected breakout companies from our primary and secondary portfolios across Internet, Mobile, Cloud, and AI, demonstrating the benefits of early exposure
