Technology & Operations Intern

Start: second week of November 2026 (from 9 November) · Duration: 4 months · Location: Singapore, hybrid

About the role

We are a multi-family office in Singapore looking for a technically strong intern who enjoys both code and capital markets. You will work directly with the investment team on real projects: reviewing and improving our in-house automation, tightening our reporting, and building the tools and processes a lean team relies on every day. This is a hands-on role with genuine ownership, not a shadowing programme.

What you will do

  • Code review: Review, test and improve our in-house Python tools, including the automation that links our Bloomberg-fed Excel models to PowerPoint reporting.
  • Investment proposals and portfolio checks: Help prepare investment proposals and review existing portfolios for allocation, concentration, risk and fees.
  • SharePoint setup: Design and set up our SharePoint structure: folders, permissions, naming conventions and templates.
  • Workflow documentation: Map and document our key processes so they are clear, repeatable and easy to hand over.
  • Portfolio reporting audit: Check our portfolio reports against source data, flag inconsistencies and propose fixes and controls.
  • CRM system: Help select, set up or clean up our CRM, including data migration and structure.
  • Yearbook redesign: Refresh the layout, structure and visuals of our annual yearbook.
  • Ad hoc support: Support the team on research, analysis and day-to-day projects as they come up.

What we are looking for

  • Currently studying Computer Science or a related field (e.g. Computer Engineering, Data Science, Quantitative Finance). Computer Science students are preferred.
  • Strong coding skills, ideally in Python (pandas, openpyxl or similar). Experience with VBA, SQL or Office automation is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel; comfortable with PowerPoint and Microsoft 365.
  • Genuine interest in financial markets and investing. Familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Precise, structured and able to work independently in a small team.
  • An eye for clean design and clear documentation.
  • Fluent English. German is a plus.

Eligibility

  • Singapore Citizens, or full-time students holding a valid Singapore Student Pass.
  • We are unable to sponsor a Work Holiday Pass (WHP) or any other work pass or visa.

What we offer

  • Real responsibility and direct exposure to the investment process of a family office.
  • Hybrid working and a small, collaborative team.

About Das Family Office

Das Family Office is an independent wealth advisory firm based in Singapore and regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). We advise families and individuals on managing, investing and planning their wealth — from portfolio construction and fund selection to bespoke private assets and the structures that hold them. We are paid by our clients, not by product providers, and we hold no in-house products of our own, so what we recommend is decided on the merits. We also advise German-speaking clients through our German-language practice.

Working here

At Das Family Office you work directly with clients and their portfolios, alongside senior colleagues and close to where decisions are made. You are given responsibility early and expected to form your own view of the work and stand behind it. The firm covers investment advice, wealth planning and the regulatory side of managing client money, and we back people who want to build a career across those areas over time. We consider every application on merit, whatever your background, and reply to the candidates we would like to take further. If a role does not exactly match your experience but you think you would be a good fit, apply and tell us why.

Disclaimer

Das Family Office is an equal-opportunity employer. We consider every applicant on merit and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We use the details and documents you submit only for recruitment, and keep them no longer than necessary. If you need any adjustments during the application process, let us know via the contact page.
